Yamaha Announces New Entry-Level RX-V381 AV Receiver


Introducing the new RX-V381 AV receiver with built-in Bluetooth® for wireless music playback, stunning 4K Ultra HD video with HDCP 2.2, high dynamic range (HDR), BT.2020 compatibility and a discrete 5.1-channel amplifier design with automatic YPAO™ calibration to ensure optimal performance.

Yamaha has introduced the versatile and powerful RX-V381 5.1-channel AV receiver that boasts built-in Bluetooth for wireless music playback and full 4K Ultra HD support, offering the home theatre enthusiast a stunning, elevated cinema experience right in their living room.

This price-friendly, entry-level model is the first in the company's RX-V 81 Series AV receiver line, and builds on the legacy of award-winning models that have won widespread acclaim for years. The AV receiver, with full 4K Ultra HD support is HDCP 2.2 compliant (4 in/1 out) and features high dynamic range (HDR) with BT.2020 compatibility. This provides spectacular detail for both dark and bright image content, as well as a wide spectrum of colour for 4K picture quality.

The RX-V381 is a rock-solid performer when it comes to its powerful five-channel surround sound capability, offering a full complement of HD Audio format decoding, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.

Among the many technologies packed into the RX-V381 is 4K Ultra HD video pass-through via HDMI 2.04K/60p 4:4:4 (4 inputs/1 output) for watching content in this super high resolution format. For the enthusiast who has their personal music library on a mobile device, the RX-V381 features Bluetooth with Compressed Music Enhancer, which enables easy wireless music playback with superb sound quality. The AV receiver also features the Yamaha exclusive YPAO automatic calibration system, which uses a microphone to listen and analyze the sound of each speaker, then tunes the sound system to create the best possible listening experience in any type of room.
